I'm not sure I agree with his treatment of the zone system. I'm not sure that he clearly understands the system and how it can help get the most out of the range of tones in a scene. In the digital world the zone system is sort of the equivalent of calibrating your camera sensor as well as all of your viewing and output devices. Over all, I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to a wide range of readers from beginners to advanced or professional photographers. Each can learn something.
